Molybdenum-copper alloy

Material Introduction

Molybdenum-copper alloy is a kind of pseudo-alloy that is composed of two metals which are not mutually solid-solution. It consists of both the characteristics of molybdenum and copper, having high thermal conductivity, low adjusted thermal expansion coefficient, being non-magnetic, low content of gas, good vacuum resistance, good machinability and special high-temperature performance and so on.

Areas of Application
Molybdenum-copper alloy has a wide range of applications, mainly including: vacuum contacts, conductive cooling components, instrumentation components, rockets with lower using temperatures, high-temperature parts of missiles and the components of other weapons, such as extended-range artillery, etc.; the strengthening rib for solid seal, sliding friction, water-cooled electrode tip for temperature furnace, and the electrodes for electro machining.

Material Introduction

Compared with pure molybdenum products, rare earth molybdenum products have more advantages, and are widely used in metallurgy, machinery, petroleum, chemical, aerospace, electronics and other fields. And the material in which rare earth doped with molybdenum material is a new material which has incorporated the structure and function, achieving increasingly widespread concern.

Areas of Application

Add rare earth element can not only increase the recrystallization temperature and high temperature creep resistance of molybdenum, but also significantly reduce the plastic-brittle transition temperature of molybdenum, increase the ductility of molybdenum, and improve the brittleness of molybdenum at room temperature and the capability to sag resistance at high temperature. Accordingly, earth molybdenum alloy has a very broad application, including:;

Rare earth molybdenum alloy boat is mainly used as sintering furnace boats, and other;

Rare earth molybdenum plate and piece can be used as punched silicon chip wafer, and tube heat shield, guide plates, etc.;

Rare earth molybdenum alloy can be good-quality steel hot piercing plug, the materials for aerospace and nuclear industries, X-ray pole target, die casting molds and extrusion dies;

The shaped products of rare earth molybdenum can be used as the glass melting electrodes, rare earth smelting electrodes, crucibles, high-temperature sintering boats, high -temperature radiant heat shield, orifice, rail, plate, etc.;

Rare earth molybdenum alloy can also be used as the hot cathode material of the high-power tubes. Rare earth molybdenum alloy hot cathode material can replace the current thoriated tungsten cathode which has a high operating temperature, radioactive contamination, brittleness, and can greatly reduce the operating temperature of the tube and improve the reliability.

TZM alloy

Material Introduction

TZM alloy is the most excellent molybdenum alloy as high temperature material now. It is a kind of molybdenum base alloy by hardening solid solution and strengthening particles, and is composed by 0.50% titanium and 0.08% zirconium, and the remaining molybdenum alloy with 0.02% carbon. Its physical properties and chemical performance are superior to pure molybdenum. The recrystallization temperature of it is about 1400 ℃, far higher than molybdenum, and it can provide better weldability.

Rotating anode for metal medical diagnosis

Boat annealing and sintering processes (temperature up to 1400 ℃)

Applications: furnace structural elements, for casting aluminum, insert of bronzing mold, rocket nozzles and electrodes.
